The Parkway Theater is an Oakland institution. We know that its shutting down, but what are the full details on why? Why such short notice (5 days) before closure? Why wasnt the community involved in looking for solutions? Is there any way to recreate the mission and service of the Parkway Theater in some other form?
Already, a group has formed on Facebook to look into options. Perhaps a story could catalyze options and possibilities. I'd love to see this happen.
