About The Minister of Information JR

The Minister of Information JR is the executive producer and editor of Block Report Radio, which airs on KPOO and KPFA in the Bay, but also on Wpfw in D.C., WBAI in New York, WRFG in Atlanta, KPFK in LA, and more. He has broken a number of national stories over the years including the Secret Service interrogating students at Oakland High, the effect of poverty-stricken Katrina refugees moving into Hunter's Point, in San Francisco, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals refusal to grant journalist Mumia Abu Jamal a new trial, Chicago activist and inmate Aaron Patterson testifying before the United Nations via telephone about human rights abuses in America's prison system, the journalistic scam called the Chauncy Bailey Project based in the Bay Area, and more. By far, the Minister of Information JR is one of the Black community's most trusted journalists nationwide with over 15 years experience in print and broadcast journalism. He is also the Associate Editor of the San Francisco Bay View Newspaper, the national Black newspaper.
