We are living in an age where it is easy to scam people. In the wake of the earthquake, many international non-governmental organizations invaded Haiti to save it from itself. Some received millions to help with the reconstruction, after the total destruction of the January 12, 2010 earthquake.

It is now obvious that not enough has been done, as many people in Haiti are still living in conditions not suitable for human life. We want to investigate some of the leading organizations that received money on behalf of the Haitian people and figure out how they have spent the donated money.

This is a story of justice for a people, and accountability for those who always want to help.

The money will be used to cover expenses (transportation, journalists, etc..) while doing research and the investigation on the ground.

By heping fund this spot, you will help donors understand how their money have been spent in Haiti. The story will also help shine some lights on what is working in Haiti since the earthquake.

I have been writing and reporting on Haiti for more than five years. Over the last two years, I have been to Haiti more than five times, and each time spending lots of time in the countryside and with some of the people most affected by natural disasters such as the earthquake. You can read samples of  my writings on Haiti at Haitian Times, or Haiti ReWired.
