The Jefferson County Public Schools is at a crossroads. The board has fired the current superintendent, and the state has intervened at four low-performing schools. Many parents are exasperated by these problems, and frustrated with the new student assignment plan. What will it take to create a school system the city can be proud of? Or will more parents abandon it for other options?

This project is being lead by WFPL with help from PRX.
