Is the bullet train still on track?

Picture_1_medium

This is an update on the bullet train that would connect Northern California to Southern California. This project was approved by voters in November. The story would examine the status of this project vis-a-vis the state budget crisis and the federal stimulus package. This story would be of interest to Bay Area readers who commute/travel frequently to Southern California.

Update nu,ber one from Deirdra.

How will it help?

My reporting would help update this issue and let people know what is going on regarding high-speed transportation in the state.

I would use my reporting skills honed from eight years of print journalism.
A story with interviews from state officials and train commuters. I would write an approximately 1,000-word article.
